It’s hard to answer what inspires me, because I never really have time to notice that I need inspiration. Between the people on my team, the players, the stories and characters in the games and little kids who want to hear about our jobs… the inspiration never really stops. I’m also personally driven to see how far I can go and how much I can touch, and of course I love the life that this industry lets me live.

Find a pocket skill and be able to translate that into how it’s applicable to the gaming industry. Don’t just say “I want to be in the game industry.” Articulate what you want to do in it and how you’ll impact it. Don’t compromise who you are. Don’t be afraid to reach out to other women in the field to mentor you. We are happy to help usher in the next generation of women.

My gaming origin story goes back to my dad, and I remember playing Warcraft 2 with him. He continued to feed my love for gaming with consoles and PC titles as a kid, and my passion for games are forever tied to those early, magical memories. Thanks, Dad!
